She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Aljoe and Hilda Aljoe (Holst); her husband Gordon Merritt Howling; and her grandson-in-law Chris Kuiack. She is survived by: her children, Linda Laarakkers (Tom Fewkes), Barbara (Christopher Pollock), John Howling (Ruth E.), Michael Howling (Francine) and Jenniffer (Kim Eberley); her grandchildren, Kristina (Glen), Tony (Tanya), Tracey (Jason), Carey, Quinn, Kelly, William, Edward (Ashley) and Emily (Jim); and her brother David Ajoe (Beverly). She is also survived by her many nieces, and nephews.
As expressions of sympathy, donations would be accepted to St. James Lutheran Church, New Dundee or the Kitchener Humane Society, and can be done through the funeral home.
