He was predeceased by: his parents, Elgin Reist and Hilda Reist (Rosenberger); his wife Marilyn Reist (Poyntz); his brother Lester (Marjorie Reist); and his brothers-in-law, Elroy Belbeck, Reynold Kipfer and Paul Poyntz.
He is survived by: his children, Tanya (Joe Fenton), Deanne (Luke Gladding) and Jason Reist (Annemarie); his grandchildren, Clara, Jacob Gladding, Connor and Madison Reist; his sisters, Armintha Belbeck and Joanne Kipfer; and his brother-in-law Allan (Elizabeth Poyntz).
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Bethel Evangelical Missionary Church (1531 Bridge St, New Dundee, ON N0B2E0).
