She was predeceased by: her niece Kerry Holmes; her brother-in-law John Holmes; and her sister Sue Holmes (Schaus) of Australia. She is survived by: her husband John Hilgendorff; her sons, David Hilgendorff (Shannon) of Aurora and James Hilgendorff of Woodstock; and her grandsons, Ian and Ben.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the MRI in Owen Sound or the Wiarton Hospital.
