He was predeceased by: his sister Connie Koziel of Smith Falls. He is survived by: his spouse Jean (Cathcart); his children, Scott (Shari) of Trenton and James (Marianne) of Trenton; his grandsons, Nicholas (Erica) of Abbotsford and Josh of Trenton; and his siblings, Lionel Milton (Lillian) of Stittsville and Peggy Milton (Terry) of Douro-Dummer.

In memory of Maynard, donations may be made to Hospice Care Ottawa (Ruddy Shenkman) or Christie Lakes Boy's Club.
