He was predeceased by: his wives, Mary McAvoy and Lorraine Giles. He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth (Randy Byrne), Jim Jr, Rosemary (Jim Littlewood), Michael (Jennifer Curtis), Lorraine (Dan Rawlins) and Sean (Liza McCrea); his sister Ann (Pat McCague); and his siblings-in-law, Anne (Gerry McKenna) and Gerard McAvoy (Marie).
