She was predeceased by: her husband Allan Hewens; her parents, John Dalgity and Lizzie Dalgity of Carp; her siblings, Jack and Freddie Dalgity of Almonte; and her nephews, Jackie Dalgity and Don Dalgity of Almonte.

She is survived by: her stepsons, Bruce and David Hewens; her granddaughters, Amanda and April; her nieces and nephews, Garry Dalgity, Eddie, Wayne, Greig Evans, Allan, Brian and Susan Hanna; her godchildren, Andrea and David Dougherty; and her granddaughter Ada Evans of Thunder Bay.
