He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Burnett and Eva Burnett; and his siblings, Robert Burnett (Delores), Joy Alexander (Sam), Linda Rowell (David) and Harvey Burnett (Eleanor).

He is survived by: his wife Marie Winter-Burnett; his children, Randy Burnett of Colebrook, Pamela Burnett of Kingston and Patricia Hartmann of Kingston; his siblings, Tom Burnett (Barb) of Sydenham, Gordon Burnett (Carol) of Napanee and Jackie Dreffs (Aylmer) of Manitoba; and his grandsons, Tyler Burnett and Justin Hartmann. He is also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
