He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Carol Rankin (Clark); his children, John (Diane) and Derry (Sue); his stepsons, Robert (Lori) of Napanee and Roger Hawley of Napanee; and his grandchildren, John (Melissa), Melanie (John), Lee, Krista Lynn Pixley (Tim), Douglas (Amy), Shannon Nibourg (Frank), Michael Hawley (Courtney) and Kyle Hawley (Kirstin).
