“I met Maria approximately 5 years ago at the Morningstar Mission where I volunteered. Maria and I quickly became friends. Maria had a great sense of humour and we had many laughs over the years. Maria would often being me treats, trinkets or flowers from her garden. Maria was à talented gardener and she was a very giving and generous person. Maria often talked about her children and it was evident in our talks, how much she loved them. Rest peacefully Maria, I will miss you, Carlene Bourgeois”
