She was predeceased by: her son Kirk Kenneth James Shields; and her parents, Iva Laforge and Mark Laforge. She is survived by: her children, Linda Shields, Rob Shields (Karalyn), Debra, Greg Gallagher, Cathy McQuaig (Randy), Charles, Kimberly, Shelley, Jeff Shields (Kathy) and Denise Burris (Dale). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
