He was predeceased by: his children, John and Angel; his brother Larry Whalen (Debbie); and his parents, Jack Whalen and Helen Whalen.
He is survived by: his daughter Amy Whalen; and his sisters, Catherine Hinch (late Leonard), Nora Kiley (Jim), Pauline Gaffney (John), Rosemary Sedore (Dan), Irene Bellemare (Bob), Stella Kelly, Patricia Ireland (Rick) and Julie Coligan (Sean). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
