With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ila Ruth Thompson (Napanee, Ontario), who passed away on October 6, 2022 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Harry Thompson; her children, Valerie and Brian; her parents, Archie Asselstine and Clara Illife; and her siblings, Dorothy VanBlaricum, Myrtle Maskell, Lewis Asselstine, Ben Asselstine, Dora King and Charles Asselstine.
She is survived by: her caregivers, Kevin and Maureen Thompson; her children, Bonnie Sweet and Ron Thompson; her sister Marjorie Manser; her brother-in-law Garrie Manser; and her grandchildren, Melissa Metzke, Scott, Cory Thompson, Christen, Matt Sweet, Kent and Nathan Thompson. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and cousins.
Friends desiring may contribute to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Arthritis Society or L&A Hospital Foundation in memory of Ila.
