With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hugh Sharpe of Napanee, Ontario, who passed away on November 25, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his sister Frances Ballance. He is survived by: his wife Helen M. Bowen (Sue); his daughters, Jane, Sheila and Martha; his sons-in-law, Harvey Nikkel, George Darnowski and Timothy Lapp; his grandchildren, Amy Nikkel, Ryan Gregory, Sarah Nikkel, Tiernan Power, Robert Darnowski, Jessalyn Martin, John Lapp, Larkin Davenport Huyer, Michael Darnowski and Elly Lapp; his great grandchildren, Hugh, Archie, Bowen and Roland; and his nieces and nephews, Karen Ballance McNichols and Harleen Acton.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hannah Funeral Home (123 Dundas St W, Napanee, ON K7R1Z9). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Conway United Church (8679 Hwy #33, Conway, ON K7R 3K7).
Memorial donations made to the Canadian Orthopedic Foundation (movepainfree.org) or the Lennox and Addington County Hospital Foundation (lacghfoundation.com) would be appreciated.
