He was predeceased by: his wife Sheila Sweet; his parents, Elijah Sweet and Annie Pearl Sweet; and his brothers, Wallace, Arthur, Tim and Leonard.
He is survived by: his children, Michael (Kathy), Richard (Ursula), Wayne and Lisa Sweet; his stepchildren, Valerie, Sandra (Phil) and David; and his brother Melville. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
