She was predeceased by: her husband Milton Akey; her daughter Pamela Spafford (late Roger); and her siblings, Marion Andrews and Leonard. She is survived by: her children, David (Shirley) of Winchester, Dale (Joan) of Niagara Falls, Dana Akey (Dana) of Bruderheim, Alberta, Patricia Miles of Foxboro and Duane (Judy) of Cannifton. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
