He was predeceased by: his siblings, Tom Asselstine (Jean) and June Dewer; his sister-in-law Vivian Switzer (Bill); and his parents, Frank Asselstine and Jean Asselstine.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Asselstine (Dafoe); his daughters, Heather Brown (Brad) of Napanee, Susan Armstrong (Ralph) of Newburgh, Brenda Herrington (Don) of Centreville and Penny Simkins (Randy) of Enterprise; his grandchildren, Greg Brown (Julie), Derek Brown (Olivia), Donald Armstrong (Victoria), Kevin Armstrong (Sarah), Micayla Caird (Shane), Sarah McCutcheon and Elisha Dyck (Zachery); his great grandchildren, Sloane, Chloe, Ella, Easton, Kendall, Hannah, Hunter, Emma, Autumn and Halina; and his sisters, Beulah Beatty and Anna Baxter.
Memorial donations to the Lennox & Addington County General Hospital Foundation or Evangel Temple, Napanee would be appreciated by the family.
