He was predeceased by: his parents, John Riley and Ella Riley; and his brothers, Cyril and John Riley. He is survived by: his wife Heather Hopkins; his children, Neil, Darrell, Joel, Carl, Kelsey, Jeremy, Lita, Barbara, Shelley, Chantel, Skimp, Nikki and Mike Riley; his grandchildren, Christian George Jr., Lawrence Leighton Leitch-Riley, Raven Katana Leitch-Riley and Luna Moon Leitch-Riley; and his siblings, Gilbert Riley and Audrey Duval-Riley. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
