She was predeceased by: her husband James "Jim" Durand of Mount Pleasant; her grandson Nicolas; and her brothers, Bernard Spencer of Stonecliffe and Joseph. She is survived by: her sons, Orville (Shirley) of Tumbler Ridge, B. C., Jim (Diana) of Keene, Ivan of Millbrook, Gregory of Peterborough and Kevin (Carolyn) of Peterborough; her grandchildren, Aimee, Lee, Jacob, Jessica, Lynn, David, Brendan, Matthew, Ian, Jeremy, Michael and Chantal; and her siblings, Frank Spencer of Guelph, Rick and Kingston.
Donations in Bernie's memory to the Alzheimer Society or St. Thomas More Church would be appreciated by the family and may be made through NEWCASTLE FUNERAL HOME with whom arrangements have been entrusted.
