He was predeceased by: his brother David Newton. He is survived by: his spouse Joyce Nicholls; his children, Andrew Newton (Shae-Lyn), Briony Johnson and Stewart Nicholls; his grandchild Julia; his great grandchild Blaine Richard; and his siblings, Clifford Newton, John Newton and Anne Walker (Alan).
