He was predeceased by: his sister Doris Sallery. He is survived by: his spouse Jean Hamblin; his children, Alison (Clayton Robertson) and Gillian Hamblin; his grandsons, Angus and Malcolm Robertson; and his sibling Leslie Hamblin (Heranush).
