He was predeceased by: his wife Carole Amaral; his parents, Robert Amaral and Gladys Amaral (Byat); his great grandchild Grace Menzies; his sister Joan Jeffcoat; and his brother-in-law John Greenhouse.
He is survived by: his children, Sandy (Dave Desmarais) of London, Kim (Herb Gibson) of Mount Forest, Kevin Amaral (Lylah) of Waterloo and Dorothy Chapman of Kapuskasing; his grandchildren, Adrian Desmarais, Lynn, Eric Desmarais, Katie, Jennifer Baia, Junior, Derek Gibson, Kristina, Corrie Menzies, Joshua, Justin Amaral, Anny, Nicole Amaral, Phil Chapman, Hailey and Brett Chapman; his great grandchildren, Julia, Livia, Ava, Judah Baia, Rose, Eve, Jack, Myah Menzies, Aubrey Gibson, Scarlett, Josie Chapman and Rogue Desmarais; his siblings, Vivian Wagner, Bud, Louisa Greenhouse, Robert Amaral and Penny; and his siblings-in-law, Barb Burrows and Barry Jeffcoat.
