He was predeceased by: his father Douglas McNaney; his stepson Jim Johnston; and his siblings, David, Sean and Mary.

He is survived by: his mother Sharon O'Sullivan; his stepfather Barry O'Sullivan; his wife Deb McNaney; his son David; his granddaughter Emma; his daughter Miranda; his granddaughter Addison; his son Bradley; and his siblings, Daniel, Terry (Margaret), Kevin (Brent), Laura (Jim), Anne Marie (Derryl) and Joanne (Cyrus). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
