She was predeceased by: her parents, Velva (Daley) and Reg Rooney; her stepfather Bill Lane; her brother Art Rooney; her sisters-in-law, Donna Rooney, Shirl McMeekin and Betty Lane; her sisters, Gladys Donald and Marie Butt; her brothers-in-law, Leroy Donald, Ray Butt, Roger Smith, Bruce McMeekin, Perrin Gardiner and Herb Towers; and her great grandchildren, Zoey and Kyle Williamson.
She is survived by: her spouse Wally "Buzz" Stanton; her children, Wendy Williamson (Don) of Red Deer, Cindy Aitken (Mark) of Holstein and Fred McEachnie of Kitchener; her stepchildren, Kathie MacDuff (Kevin) of Calgary, Dianne Stanton of Stoney Creek, Shirley Hurd (Wes) of Peterborough, Carol Sitter (Jamie) of Calgary and Deb Sandau (Dave) of Red Deer; her siblings, Jack Rooney (Eunice) and Anna Mae Smith (Keith Marshall); her stepsiblings, Doug Lane, Jean Towers, Sandra Kay (Rob) and Ronny Lane (May); and her siblings-in-law, John McMeekin, Bill McMeekin (Helen), Sandy McMeekin and Marlene Gardiner. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews, and about a bazillion cousins and a lifetime of friends.
