He was predeceased by: his spouse Jean; and his siblings, Bill McGuire, Helen McAlpine, Vivian Thomas and Elaine Ito.

He is survived by: his children, Dan McGuire (Lillian Cook) of Hanover, Herb McGuire (Charlotte) of Mount Forest, Ron McGuire (Janice) of Desboro and David McGuire of Durham; his grandchildren, Ashley Hartnett, Mark Hartnett, Joshua McGuire, Ashley McGuire, Beth McGuire, Luke McGuire, Michael McGuire, Jaimie Buma, Nathanael McGuire, Brittany McGuire, Stephanie Burt, Nick Burt, Rachel Toman and Daniel Toman; his great grandchildren, Autumn, Hunter, Katya and Ethan; his siblings, Doris Shaw, Hazel Leatherdale, George McGuire (Joan), Don McGuire and Larry McGuire (Joan Richardson); and his siblings-in-law, Evan McAlpine, John Ito, Ron Gardner and Mable Gardner.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or Child Evangelism Fellowship of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
