He was predeceased by: his parents, John Elijah and Helen Schuyler. He is survived by: his siblings, Rosalie, Alice (Dave), Vincent, Royena (Wayne), Ada, Claudine (Mike), John (Ursula), Alec (Angela), Perry, Roland, Violet (Edward), Howie, Theo, Travis and Leo; and his close friends, Ron Elijah, Tracey Summers and Tony Hill. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
