Though Earl may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Smith Sr. and Elsie Doris Smith (Blackbird). He is survived by: his wife Victoria A. Deleary; his siblings, Kenneth, Curtis (Vera), Carl (Kathy), Ellery (Karen) and Susan Smith; and his children, Jo Ellen Beveridge (Wes), Lorne Smith (Marcy), Natalie'Coby'Smith (Martin 'J. R.' McGahey) and Azure Wineman (Richard). He is also survived by his nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
