He was predeceased by: his child Avery; and his parents, Doug Kernaghan and Irene Kernaghan. He is survived by: his spouse Chrissy (Van Lierop); his child Mathew; his sibling Aaron Kernaghan (Morgan); his sister-in-law Kate Goncalves (Lee); and his niece Emma.
