He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Beverly; his children, Joe Hopper (Marg), Jackie Battaglia (John) and Thomas Hopper; his stepchildren, Phillip McCormack (Linda), Patricia Podrubszky (Gaby), Julie Snelgrove (Mike Bissonette), William McCormack (Carlene) and Andrew McCormack (Jachie); his grandchildren, Nicole, Tiffany Hopper, Sean and Neala Battaglia; his siblings, Dennis Hopper (Vonita), Donna Neabel (Ron) and Dodie Babos (Ron); his mother-in-law Evelyn Nichols; his brothers-in-law, Victor Nichols (Carol) and Paul Nichols Eldest (Sharon); and his parents, Jack Hopper and Allie Hopper. He was also cherished by several step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
