He was predeceased by: his parents, William Welch and Jenny Welch; his wife Helen Welch; his son Terry Welch; and his siblings, Jim Welch, Bertha Wilson, Norm Welch, Helen Bobier, Dorothy Innes and Shirley Gorrie.
He is survived by: his friend Cheryl Simpson; his daughter-in-law Laura Welch; his grandchildren, Jeff, Greg, Mitchell (Alli) and Ashley (Tyler); his great grandchild Lizzy; his pet Tasha; and also, Chris Simpson, Scott and Anna Simpson. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
