He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Smith (Stub) and Irene Smith (Makey); his significant other Mary Ellen Smith (Hall); and his siblings, Carmen, Donald Smith and Verda Holdaway.
He is survived by: his children, LaVera (Thomas) of Toronto, Lillian (Greg) of Chatham and Carmen (Tawnya) of Ridgetown; his grandchildren, Amber, Brennon and Carly; and his sister Rose Marie Smith of Morpeth.
