He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend Henry Herbert Atheling and Emma Maude Ashton; and his siblings, Ashton Gillingham and Willy-Marie Gillingham. He is survived by: his sister Cynthia Adams (Glenn); his children, Rosemary Gillingham Robles (Luis), Debbie Gillingham, Andrew Gillingham (Melissa) and Charles Gillingham; his grandchildren, Mark Corkum, Amanda Fantin, Catherine Chadwick, Henry Chadwick, Cameron Gillingham and Meghan Gillingham; his great grandchildren, Ian Corkum and Andrew Corkum; and his nephew Mark Adams (Emily).

Memorial Donations to the Hospice Cornwall would be appreciated by the family.
