He was predeceased by: his wife Ella Torrance; his siblings, Sheena McDermid, Meta and Tony Shirley; and his sister-in-law Maureen Robertson.
He is survived by: his children, Lorna (Dave) and Robert; his siblings, Jim Cannon and Maureen; and his siblings-in-law, Elma and George McIntosh.
