He was predeceased by: his son-in-law Garry Pestell; his parents, William Machan and Lillian Machan; and his sisters, Mary Helen Machan and Pauline Dickson.
He is survived by: his wife Lenora Machan; his children, Dennis Machan (Lida), Colleen Pestell and Valerie Smith (Willie); and his grandchildren, Yvonne Weyers (Curtis), Ashley Newbigging (Brody), Derek Machan (Torie), Catherine Pryce (Brent), Cara Burns (Justin) and Corey Frank (Will). He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 25th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Lockhart Funeral Home (109 Montreal St, Mitchell, ON N0K1N0). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, September 25th 2024 at the North Logan Cemetery (6742 Line 53, West Perth, Logan).
