He was predeceased by: his son-in-law Garry Pestell; his parents, William Machan and Lillian Machan; and his sisters, Mary Helen Machan and Pauline Dickson.
He is survived by: his wife Lenora Machan; his children, Dennis Machan (Lida), Colleen Pestell and Valerie Smith (Willie); and his grandchildren, Yvonne Weyers (Curtis), Ashley Newbigging (Brody), Derek Machan (Torie), Catherine Pryce (Brent), Cara Burns (Justin) and Corey Frank (Will). He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
