He was predeceased by: his parents, Donat Simard and Anna Riga. He is survived by: his wife Eileen Simard; his children, Robert, Peter (Michelle) and Rachel; his siblings, Ronald (Donna), Francine (Michael), Christine (late Larry), Joanne (John) and Donna (Jacques); and his grandchildren, Gabrielle, Victoria, MaKenna and Kailyn. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and extended family.

As expressions of sympathy, Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
