We are sad to announce that on February 24, 2023, Ronald Root of Mitchell, Ontario passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Wendy McCarthy; his parents, Clifford Root and Thelma Root; and his siblings, Violet Kozlowski (Chester), Jack Root, Doreen Cockerham (Pete) and Darrell Root (Linda).
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Root; his children, Ron Root Jr. (Rose), James Root (Kathy), Steven Root (Paula), Tracy Wilkinson (Kevin), Heather Chapman (Ross), Jackie Lamarche (Sean), Sandy Root Jr. and Amberly Harrison (Tim); and his sister Barbara Vazquez (Arthur). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Monday, February 27, 2023 from 2:00-4:00 p. m. and 6:00-8:00 p. m. where the funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 11:00 a. m.
