He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Catherine "Kit" Bell (Rhodes); and his brother Fred Bell. He is survived by: his siblings, Gloria Moorehead of Las Vegas and David Bell of Courtenay, BC.. He is also survived by extended family members and friends.
