She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse Elgin Dearing; her children, Melissa Merrill (Tim), Greg Dearing (Joyce) and Brett Dearing (Alissa); her grandchildren, Natasha, Nathan Merrill, Mary, Angela, Lacy Dearing, Carter and Ava Dearing; her mother Mary Gibbings; her siblings, Deb Preston (John), Brenda Sowerby (Randy), Mike Gibbings (Tine), Jeff Gibbings and Tony Gibbings (Lisa); her siblings-in-law, Jack Dearing (Maureen) and Mary Dearing; her father Ken Gibbings; and her brother-in-law Don Dearing.
