He was predeceased by: his children-in-law, Cindy and George Berkvens; his parents, Frans Claessens and Gertruda Claessens; and his siblings, Marie Van Heuven (Frank), Mien Willemse (Piet), Wim (Mien), Anthony, Jozef (Riek), Peter (Nellie) and Marten (Anny).
He is survived by: his wife Martha Claessens; his children, Mary Diegel, Trudy Burgers (Al), Frank Claessens (Debbie), Joe Claessens (Tammie), Martha Berkvens (Barry Murphy) and Sandy Medd (Jeff); his siblings, Gerardus Claessens (Anny), Harry Claessens (Ann) and Truus Rongen (Antoon); and his sister-in-law Marlene Claessens. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church (29 Park Ln, Mitchell, ON N0K1N0).
