He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Eckert and Mary Eckert; and his brother Peter Eckert. He is survived by: his spouse Jean Eckert; his sons, Paul Eckert and Brian Eckert (Jenn); his grandchildren, Tiernan and Rowan; and his siblings-in-law, Eleanor Eckert and Ernie McVittie (Karen). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
