He was predeceased by: his spouse Aldeen Spivey; his parents, James Spivey and Lillian Spivey; his sons-in-law, Harry Nieuwkuyk and Michael Thibideau; his grandchildren, Matthew Diegel, Jim Van Horn and Leanne Stewart; his great grandchild Jenna-Marie Van Horn; his siblings, Ella, John Spivey (Margaret) and Wilfred Spivey; and his siblings-in-law, Lavina Rudolph (Wilfred), Eileen Trentowsky (Gus), Mildred Ritz (John), Shirley Rolph (Don), William Rose (Irene), Gordon Rose, Martin Rose (Marjorie), Carl Rose (Dorothy), Glen Rose, Gerald Butson, Roy Diegel (Norma) and Russell Diegel (Donna).
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Linda Nieuwkuyk, Susan Thibideau, Dennis Diegel (Linda), Cynthia Baechler (Richard) and Cheryl May; and his sisters-in-law, Georgina Spivey, Renata Rose, Esther Butson, Norma Rose and Norma Rolph. He is also survived by his many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
