Hendrik Van Essen Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Hendrik Van Essen of Mitchell, Ontario, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 19, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his spouse Engelina Van Essen; his parents, Hendrik Essen and Dirkje van Essen; and his sister Johanna Plokker (Joop). He is survived by: his children, Martyn Van Essen (Mary), Joan, Walter Van Essen (Marsha) and Miriam Van Essen. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM and from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Lockhart Funeral Home (109 Montreal St, Mitchell, ON N0K1N0). A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Bethel Free Reformed Church (6011 26 Line, Fullarton, ON N0K 1H0). A burial will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at the Bethel-Munro Cemetery (6011 26 Line, Fullarton, ON N0K1H0).
