He was predeceased by: his parents, George Batten and Doris Batten; his brother Jim Batten; his father-in-law Garth Postill; and his sister-in-law Barb Box.
He is survived by: his spouse Allison; his children, Tyler (Martina) and Brittany; his siblings, Joan Teahen (Frank), Charlie Batten (Mary), David Batten (Linda) and Ralph Batten (Guylaine); his mother-in-law Patricia Postill; his siblings-in-law, Christine Weessies, Travis Postill (Janet) and Darrell Postill (Tammy); and his pet Doug. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
