She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Groot; her son Jim Van Bakel; her parents, Johannes Vanderhyden and Barbara Vanderhyden (Neggers); and her parents-in-law, Cornelius and Klazina Groot (Vessies).
She is survived by: her children, Barb Groot, Clasina, Bert DeBont, Cor, Leslie Groot, Marian, Paul Vogels, Marg, Gerard and Melissa Groot; her siblings, Barb Vermeltfoort, Adrian and Christine Vanderhyden; and her siblings-in-law, Jeff Timmermans, Nellie Vanderhyden, Annie Swart, Sien Sanders, Riet Groot and Lies Groot.
