He was predeceased by: his wife Marelene; his brother Xavier; and his parents, Anthony and Louisa. He is survived by: his children, Conrad and Sonia (Alex); his granddaughter Alyssa; his sisters, Lena (Paul) and Annie (Joachim); and his close friend Matilda. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and caregivers.
