He was predeceased by: his wife Maria Emilia. He is survived by: his children, Octavio (Heather), Vasco (Sheri) and Isilda (Terry); his grandchildren, Michael, Shawn, Nicole, Justin, Carly and Matthew; his brothers, Manuel (Gilda) and Antonio (Maria); and his brother-in-law Floriano (Odilia). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
