With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Tapani Alakorpi (Mississauga, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 2, 2025 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Pauli Ala-Korpi; his mother-in-law Marlene Jarvis; and his grandparents, Yrjo, Helmi Ala-Korpi, Augusti and Hilda Kamunen.

He is survived by: his mother Saara Ala-Korpi; his son Ari Alakorpi; his wife Jill; his sister Tarja Shipston (Gerry); and his nieces and nephews, Haley (Brenden Slongo) and Kyle Shipston (Selena Owen). He is also survived by numerous brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.

Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
