He was predeceased by: his wife Edith Marie Kool; and his daughter Elinor Hansen. He is survived by: his daughters, Andrea Kool (Richard Clarke) and Catherine Stewart (Alistair); his grandchildren, Adam, Ryan Clarke, James, Jacob, Cameron Stewart and Lynda Hansen; his son-in-law Peter Hansen; and his brothers, Kjell (Gre), Willem (late Gees), King (Maria) and Arne (Barbara).

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mississauga Symphony Orchestra, The Rotary Foundation, or Trillium Health Partners.

“Andrea & Catherine & Family: We are delighted to find out that we can attend your dad’s Celebration of Life via zoom. Our memory of your dad was our attendance at many spontaneous meetings at your home over the years. It was always a greeting to come in and discuss matters with Pieter. The tulip display in the spring was always something to record by Diana. She remembers with fondness working with Pieter on the early Ribfests with the entertaining musicians. We will always remember Pieter.”
