He was predeceased by: his parents, John Donnelly and Kitty Donnelly; and his siblings, Paddy, Dick, Joseph and Marie.

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Pierce and Emelia; and his siblings, Johnny (Mary), Tommy (Sherry), Martin (Erin), Gerard (Trish), Anne (Johnny) and Breda (late Owen). He is also survived by his extended family, including his brother-in-law, sister-in-laws, and his many nieces and nephews.
