He was predeceased by: his wife Stella Chopiany; his sister Leslie Kokelj; his son Ernie; his son-in-law Domenic; and his parents, Stephen Chopiany and Anna Chopiany.
He is survived by: his children, Monica, Jerry (Irene), Pat (Bill Holowachuk), Sandy (Alan Brown) and Lisa (Domenic DiIorio Predeceased); and his great grandchildren, Eric, Lily, Isabella and Liam. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
Due to the current COVID 19 pandemic a private family funeral service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Ukrainian Canadian Care Center or Sheptytsky Knights of Columbus Charitable Trust Fund would be appreciated by the family.
