With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Nelson Fernandes (Mississauga, Ontario), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Nelson left this world on February 21, 2025 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Aleixo Cursino (Rosario Fernandes) and Maria Evelina Beatriz of Melo. He is survived by: his wife Hilda; his brothers, Gilbert and Rudy; his children, Elaine (Gerard), Noel (Liane) and Malcolm; his grandchildren, Amanda (Neil), Matthew, Jeremy, Rachel, Olivia and Daniel; and his great grandchildren, Jaden and Lewis.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Turner & Porter - Neweduk - Erin Mills Chapel (1981 Dundas St W, Mississauga, ON L5K1R2). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Parish (2473 Thorn Lodge Dr, Mississauga, ON L5K1K8). An entombment will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Assumption Catholic Cemetery (6933 Tomken Rd, Mississauga, ON L5T1N4).
